South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern a moiety of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equipollently kenned for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital.


South Korea officially the Republic of Korea (Hanja About this sound heedfully auricularly discern, "The Republic of Great Han"; ROK), and commonly referred to as Korea, is a sovereign state in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The designation Korea is derived from the Kingdom of Goryeo, additionally spelled as Koryŏ. It shares land borders with North Korea to the north, and oversea borders with Japan to the east and China to the west. Roughly a moiety of the country's 50 million people reside in the metropolitan area circumventing its capital, the Seoul Capital Area, which is the second most sizably voluminous in the world  with over 25 million denizens.
